Astrology is known for many good and bad things. While it has been a source of enlightenment to some, it has also been the mother of many superstitions.
However, one thing that I HATE THE MOST IN ASTROLOGY IS: GUNA MILAN
This unscientific and harmful practice has ruined more lives than any other superstition related to astrology.
While people might have studied this concept, I have translated entire book based on this crap, and hated every paragraph of it. But since I had a contract, I did it all the same.
Let me tell you this: GUNA MILAN VIOLATES MOST OF THE PRINCIPLES OF ASTROLOGY AND COMMON SENSE.
E.g. They will give you a good match for KrakaRashi and MeshaRashi (100% score as the rishi lords are friends”). Let me tell you that these two rashis would eat each other alive. And then there are many more crappy things.
People don’t even know what SYNASTRY means…Iet alone know how to practice this art of horoscope to horoscope matching.
Usually astrologers would punch numbers in a software and would give you a “score” …27 Gunas. great match…!
3 happiest couples I personally know have a Guna score of 17 or less…!
Every week I get a call from a distressed person caught in a wrong marriage and wondering why things are not working despite a great Gunamilan… (BLOODY ARRANGED MARRIAGES… BLOODY GUNA MILAAN)
If Gunamilan worked, there would have been no divorces in Hindu arranged marriages… but guess what kind of marriages go most for divorces… Hindu arranged marriages.
Iam against arranged marriages, love marriage is the way of the heart, and the heart is the best astrologer.
Still if you are like 80% Indians and your desi family is convinced that they raised you right (which means you can never have a love story), then you have no option but go for an arranged marriage. but for heaven’s sake…
Step 1: FIRST MEET THE PERSON, SEE IF YOU LIKE HIM/HER.

Step 2: ONLY THEN GO FOR A HOROSCOPE MATCH,
Don’t put the chart… sorry CART before the horse.
Don’t put the chart first… what if the timing is wrong…the date is wrong. the bloody year is wrong???
LISTEN TO YOUR HEART PEOPLE… THE CHART CAN GO WRONG…BUT THE HEART IS NEVER WRONG.
HEART OVER CHART IS MY NEW MOTTO… for every arranged marriage.
Still if you want astrological inputs, go for someone who knows Synastry and won’t just rely on Guna Milan. because it SUCKS…!

Here is a PRO TIP: MARRY THE PERSON WHOM YOU ARE SO KEEN TO MARRY THAT YOU WOULD THROW THE HOROSCOPE OUT IF IT DOESN’T MATCH…IMARRY FOR LOVE…AND NOTHING ELSE…!
