While doing my research on Mars, I went down the rabbit hole of masculinity. The good the bad the ugly side of it.
The research which was supposed to last weeks, took months and is still going on. What was supposed to be an article and at max a video, is turning out to be a book.
Here is what I discovered: In this world, and especially in this nation we BADLY need MARS. We have created an army of beta males which go from Beta to all the way down till Omega men. (I seriously did not know that there were so many categories).
The more I read, the more I was surprised and worried, as a man and as a father.
We have done well with women empowerment, and I must say our girls are much more empowered and liberated than 30 years ago. However, a great disservice has been done towards the boys.
In the last 75 years we have raised generation after generation of betas who are much more Shani than Mars. They are content to waste their youth in dingy rooms of Delhi and pigeon holes of Kota, pushing themselves harder on the path of some unattainable goal chosen by delusional parents or impractical societal norms.
Youth which has already been half crushed by an oppressive schooling system. Get their final burning in the furnace of coaching centers and then colleges churn out an army of obedient cowardly slaves.
I look at the overweight confused depressed young men and I wonder “Who stole their Mars? “
How I wish I could go to every parent of a son and tell them “KHELOGE KOODOGE HOVOGE KHARAAB (IF YOU PLAY AND WORK OUT, YOU WOULD BE SPOILT)” MOTTO WAS GIVEN BY A SLAVE MAKER.
How I could beg them to give the boys one year break just to work on themselves and build some muscle, increase some testosterone. To become a MAN. God knows we need MEN.
Don’t get me wrong, I am way more against the toxic masculinity prevalent in the parts of North India. That is Mars gone crazy and it leads to all evils right from crime to road rage to eve teasing.
However, the best way to put a stop on a crazy Mars of the bad guys, is to EMPOWER THE MARS OF THE GOOD GUYS.
It is the DUTY OF PARENTS, ESPECIALLY THE FATHERS to get the boys in shape. Make them chivalrous enough to respect the women, and strong enough to protect them.
I will be publishing the series of articles on “Mars and raising boys.” And ultimately will publish my book on this topic with classification of several types of Males, the status of their unplugging from the Matrix, and how to develop them as per the combinations in their horoscope.
As of now I have named it “Mars and the Art of Manhood” this is a temporary title. (Feel free to suggest another title in the comments.)
Let’s make better men, let’s wake up their Mars.
